3i Show
“A North American Agri-Business Tradition” is returning to the heart of Kansas once again. The 3i Show pays homage to Industry, Implements, and Irrigation and has grown into a nationally recognized event. Each year, more than 1,000 companies set up shop to showcase their wares, and this year the Overhead Door Company of Garden City will be one of them.
History
The Western Kansas Manufacturers Association was founded in July of 1949. Meetings were held in Pratt, Kansas, at the Hotel Roberts to promote the general welfare of agricultural and industrial businesses in the area. The show began as a small, traveling event to create awareness; the first official 3i Show was in 1953. Tractors without cabs were the latest technological marvel back in 1950, vastly different than the drones and large combines that have been showcased in recent years.
Features
With more than 500 exhibits, the 3i Show will feature a variety of items showcased including: crop protection information, cattle handling equipment, farm machinery, industrial products, and, of course, the Overhead Door Company. A congressional forum will also be held during the event. There are plenty of entertainment options, including Vintage Saturday, a variety of food vendors, a pickup truck ride & drive area, and educational fun. The 3i Show includes free admission and parking, along with free transportation from the airport
Location and Dates
This year’s show will be held on October 12th through the 14th, Thursday to Saturday, in Dodge City, Kansas, the heart of the agricultural region. The event itself will be hosted at the Western Bank Expo Center, addressed 11333 U.S. Highway 283.
